The first flower of spring!A little blurry, yes, but this is the first little bloom that has come up in my front flower bed. It's a viola, which is one of my very favorite flowers. Isn't it adorable?
Violas and pansies always look happy, in my opinion. It's hard for me to look at a viola or pansy and not smile. So I just thought I'd share this little bit of spring with you.
I hope it makes you smile too.

Violas are one of my favorites, too! Our snow is still trying to melt. The rain is helping though, now I can finally take out the frozen Christmas decorations. LOL
On Friday, I noticed that one of my sets of tulips is starting to break the surface of the soil. I've been pushing aside mulch in various places, looking for other sprouting bulbs, but so far, the tulips are the only ones. I can't recall if they are the pink ones or the multi-blooming red ones. I'll try to remember to take pictures!
