I love to cook. Ask anyone—that's what they'll tell you. I thought I'd take the opportunity to share new recipes as I test them, plus I'll list some favorites. Also, I intend to include miscellaneous writings, mostly for my own amusement.
*Black coffee is usually considered free of calories by most nutritionists and dietitians because its caloric value is insignificant relative to most foods and to total daily diet.
1 c. milk (I used 2%) 2 scoops ViShape Shake Mix 1 t. cocoa 1 cookie (Anna's Chocolate Mint Thins) 6-8 ice cubes
Blend all ingredients...drink and ENJOY!
NOTES: Maybe you aren't aware of this, but I have a long-standing gripe with General Foods International Coffees because they A) have a limited selection of sugar-free coffees, and B) they quit making the chocolate mint flavor...I don't even remember what they called it anymore.
This shake is my revenge.
I didn't add the coffee because I didn't want to put off people who are not coffee drinkers. But this tastes sooooooo good, you guys!
I, of course, will add instant coffee in my next shake. And, I was also thinking of using the Hershey's Special Dark cocoa. This also replaces the ON Chocolate Mint shake that I just gave away to a friend.
Sorry I didn't take a photo of the squash before I "killed" it, but we picked it and cut it open to make sure it was good. I roasted it in foil (sprayed with olive oil) at 300 for about 40 minutes. Just seasoned with a little salt. That was all it needed. Delicious!
The salmon was poached in a bath of BBQ and mesquite seasoning for about 12 minutes. Yummy.
Those are...forgive me...instant potatoes, seasoned much like I do the Greek chicken: olive oil, garlic, onion, Greek oregano, lemon juice (yes, lemon juice in potatoes!) and some feta chunks. Also added some chicken bouillon, but just a hint. Didn't have any chicken broth handy, so I used skim milk. Casey loved them!
Oh, and I got that handy divided plastic plate at Target. They'll go in the dishwasher, too.
