This was created from two different recipes, and then I added cherry pastry filling. It worked out very well. Kinda like shortbread crust with a chocolate-covered cherry on top.
Cherry Fudge Bars
2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
—mix/beat together—
add: 1 3/4 c. flour & 1 t. vanilla
Press into 9x13 pan and bake 15 minutes.
Spread crust with Solo brand cherry cake/pastry filling. Set aside.
In medium saucepan, melt 1/2 stick butter with 1/2 c. cocoa:
Remove from heat and mix in:
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. hot water
2 eggs
1/2 t. salt
Pour over crust, very slowly:
Bake 25-30 minutes.

Oh wow, those look wicked good. You could do it with all different fruits too.
