Gooey Marshmallow-topped Brownies

Goldie's Brownies

1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. half-and-half (or milk, if that's what you have in the fridge)
1 t. vanilla extract
1 c. mini marshmallows
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Heat oven to 350˚.
  2. In medium sauce pan, melt butter; stir in cocoa powder. Stir over low heat until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, and stir in half-and-half. Then, blend in sugar, flour, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Pour into greased 11 x 7" baking pan. (or you can use an 8" square pan.)
  5. Bake 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and add chips and marshmallows.
  7. Bake for another 5 minutes until marshmallows melt. DO NOT OVERBAKE!

NOTE: I used both semi-sweet chocolate chunks and milk chocolate chips in the photos above. You can basically do no wrong with these additions! :)
