They say that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions....well, I just took a ride in the express lane!
This was supposed to be a nice surprise for someone I love, but it sorta exploded and made a mess. Luckily, I still have time to make another one as a replacement. But I'm out of eggs. Trip to the grocery store in my near future...
I'll post the photos of the mixing process along with the recipe after I get myself together, wipe away the tears, and go grocery shopping.
This really did almost make me cry!!!

Hi Goldie... fresh strawberries are a tricky ingreident to bake with. I had a cake explosion when I made my first attempt at Brown Sugar Strawberry Pound cake but on the second try...it turned out perfectly. Chin up...
It's oddly beautiful you know! It happens to the best of us. I once had a banana pound cake that had baked for over an hour and a half and still never baked in the middle. That's why I stay away from baking :(
