It's just a layer cake with Ding Dongs on top. Brilliant, huh? I made a 10-inch base layer and an 8-inch top layer, covered it with "tripple fudge chocolate chip" frosting, and then we sliced the Ding Dongs in half and positioned them on top.
I think I like the Duncan Hines box mix the best--it always turns out so moist. Yeah, I coulda made it from scratch, but we had some people over for a little casual BBQ and I was running out of time. As it turned out, the cake was just coming out of the oven when they arrived.
