Ham Steak with Pineapple

This is what's left—I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures BEFORE dinner…!

Ham Steak with Pineapple

1 (12-16 oz.) ham steak
1 can (12 oz.) pineapple chunks
2 T. butter
1 T. brown sugar
1 T. Southern Comfort

Heat all ingredients in deep frying pan over low heat for 15 minutes or until ham steak is warmed through. Serve with cornbread and sweet potatoes.

NOTE: I guess you don't have to add the Southern Comfort, if you don't want to. It does not make a huge impact on the flavor; it just enhances some component of the ham to make it really tasty.

Man--that brought back memories. My dad was from Kentucky and one of his favorite meals was a sliced of ham (bone-in), cornbread, and grean beans. Power of suggestion says that this meal will be on our table before the week is out!
Mmmm!

I just read my comment and wondered what I was thinking. Note to self: "Always correct spelling before posting."

Hmm-mmm . . . "green" beans, slice vs. sliced, you get the idea. Still waking up!

There are so many things I have messed up because I tried to do them first thing in the morning, before I'd had a full cup of coffee...BIG MISTAKE! LOL!!!
I know you don't drink coffee, but you could at least wait until you've walked around a little and gotten the ol' circulation moving, eh?
