Mocha Custard


My mom used to make this when I was a kid, which may have been one of the early influences in my love of coffee.
OPTIONS:
Double the recipe, and pour into ready-made graham cracker crust. This makes a really awesome pie!


Mocha Custard

1 pkg. (2.9 oz.) Jell-O Cook & Serve Custard mix (not instant)
2 c. milk
1 egg yolk, beaten

2 t. instant coffee (I use Maxwell House)
2 T. cocoa
1/4 c. sugar
  1. Mix all ingredients together in small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly with whisk.
  3. Pour into individual custard cups, cover with plastic wrap, and cool in fridge.
