Double Chocolate Fantasy Bars
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
1 c. chopped nuts*
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1 t. vanilla
- Heat oven to 350˚.
- In large bowl, combine cake mix, oil and egg. Beat at medium speed until crumbly. Stir in nuts.
- Reserve 1 1/2 cups of crumbs in bowl in fridge. Press remaining crumbs into a 9 x 13" baking pan. Set aside.
- In saucepan, combine chips, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla; stir until chips melt.
- Pour melted mixture over pressed crumbs. Top with reserved crumbs.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until sides are bubbly.
- Refrigerate leftovers! (or else they'll get really gooey and hard to cut)
* NOTE: you can use whatever type of nuts you prefer.
